NGO Bird Group Taman Negara Malaysia is based in Kg Kuala Tahan, the gateway to Taman Negara in the state of PAHANG, MALAYSIA.
Involved in charity work to help the community in the Jerantut district, including the Orang Asli who live nearby Taman Negara.
Bird Group Taman Negara (BGTN established since 2015)
2022 Project – Flood Relief Program
Objectives – to provide food, equipment, medical & humanitarian aid to the local communities including welfare to the Orang Asli Bateq ethnic group. To help and raise the issues on human (Orang Asli) & elephant conflict to respective department and agencies.
Bird Group effort & activities – Food aid distribution, meet and greet the Orang Asli in the jungle. Boating & 4x4wd expedition to reach the area.
Project Partners – Members of Parliament Jerantut, Members of State Assembly DUN Tahan, District Officer of Jerantut, JKOA (Dept od Indigenous Welfare), PKOB (The Center of Disaster Movement ), APM (Members of Civil Defense), RELA (Members of Volunteers), JPKK Kg Kuala Tahan (Village Communities organization), Penghulu Mukim Tembeling Tengah (Deputy District Head) & others government agencies.
