Cicada 2- satu pencerahan

Kuala Tahan, Jerantut
pic taken : Mango tree next to SMR restaurant

Fakta2 menarik cicadas ;
1. Lebih 2500 spesis diseluruh dunia
2. Habitat pada suhu lebih kurang 29c
3. Cicada jantan mengeluarkan bunyi
4. Betina lebih berisi, jantan agak kosong
5. Disesetengah negara, cicada dimakan untuk protein
6. Bunyi berbeza mengikut negara/habitat asal
7. Hidup cuma 2 minggu & untuk mengawan

Landak Raya

Kuala Tahan
venue : sebelah video room Jabatan Perhilitan

Apabila diserang akan menembak durinya kearah musuh?
Sejauh mana kebenaran?

Thank you to..

note :

History :

Since January of 1997, Molly Kleinman, an Environmental Planner and naturalist, was on an individual 24 month sabbatical tour of Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia to include the countries of Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

Molly Kleinman arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, via Malaysia Airlines flight MH202 from Cape Town, South Africa, on June 21, 1998. Upon arrival and after checking into backpacker type accommodations 9International Youth Hostel –Kuala Lumpur), she telephoned home to report her safe arrival, and stated that she would be travelling in a remote area and expected to be without telephone or an email communication for at least 3 to 4 weeks. A mailing address and phone number for Koh Phangan, Thailand, was given as her next certain destination.

After no word was received in 6 weeks, contact was made to a dive shop at her proposed destination with the response that Molly had never arrived at Koh Phangan. The package sent by her parents was still waiting her arrival at Planet Scuba on the island. Her intended dive partner from South Africa had been there to meet her, but moved on indicating that he never heard from Molly. His sister living in Cape Town, SA, received a postcard from Molly saying that she had arrived in Malaysia.

Official notification to authorities :

A missing person report was made to Ms Getty Tan of the Consular Section at the American Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, approximately 02:00 CDT 24 August 1998. On September 11, 1998, Robert J. Kleinman, Jr. personally fired a formal missing persons police report at the Royal Malaysian Tourist Police headquarters building in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. An official press release including a picture was prepared and given to the media the following week.

The investigation :

After seeing Molly’s picture in a newspaper, a Kuala Lumpur travel agent called the police to report that she had sold Molly a prepaid 4 nights hostel package at the Taman Negara Resort for the period 24-28 June 1998. A one-way bus ticket was also included. Resort records verify her arrival, but indicate that her hostel room key was never returned. After receiving the inquiry from the police, resort employees informed them that a backpack and placed in lost and found. Molly’s father and uncle accompanied by a sergeant from the Tourist Police travelled to the Taman Negara National Park to continue the investigation.

All resort staff that had come in contact with Molly were interviewed. One front desk person remembered that she had come to him to change her departure time out of the park from 09:00 to 02:00 Sunday 28 June 1998. Her belongings were examined and video tape. A locked pocket was opened to reveal her passport, airlines tickets, $1,000.00 USD travelers checks, $900 in US currency, gold VISA credit card, driver’s license, a PADI Open Water scuba dive card and various other pieces of identification. Also in the pack was a detailed journal written by Molly covering the period of time from her arrival in Malaysia (21 June 1998) to Saturday evening 27 June 1998. In addition to being a chronicle of her journey, it gave many insights as to her stability and her future plans after returning from the trip. She wrote about graduate school and a possible PhD, giving absolutely no indication of an intentional disappearance. Her next destination according to companions, was the Perhentian Island south of Kota Bharu. She most likely was planning to take the night train from Jerantut, hence the chance in departure time to the afternoon boat. Records for the boat are inconclusive as to weather or not she actually got on board. Being an experience world traveller, Molly would not have left behind her passport, money and other valuables to leave the area voluntarily. She may have gone on a short walk, leaving in the safety of the locker. We can only guess that she wanted to see something’s else before leaving the park area. Molly Kleinman disappeared without leaving any clues sometime after 08:30AM on Sunday 28 June 1998. The police have received no reports of her sighting after that time.

Later developments :

Thousands of missing posters have been distribute throughout Malaysia by Robert Kleinman (Molly’s father) and uncle William Kleinman and Jon Mathias. The trio has logged nearly 6,000 km in a rental car on 3 separate trips to Malaysia. News coverage about the disappearance of Margaret Kleinaman has been quite extensive, and most people have either seen an article, a poster or heard about Molly. A reward of RM10,000 was approved by the police have received no verifiable tips from the two posters. Many are still in place in roadside restaurants and travel counters.

The info compile by just for record purpose...

Ulasan saya:

Molly, jika mati...mana buktinya?

Wallahualam, Sabri.
